a big ugly parrot, squawking at America
Here’s how three papers view the world:
“The cartograms below show the world through the eyes of editors-in-chief, in 2007. Countries swell as they receive more media attention; others shrink as we forget them.”
Click on the Sun, Mail and Guardian and check the similarities. In all of them, Britain and Ireland have swollen together into something that looks like a big ugly parrot, squawking at America. All of them seem to be resting on a huge cock, which I take it is the graphic representation of Spanish coverage. In the Sun’s version, it’s a huge, red throbbing cock. Y Viva Espana. via.

I love how they've got the Sun down as "daily joke".

I think the reason why the Iberian peninsula looks like a cock (and my god it does) is because of the unusually large amount of coverage of Portugal because of Madeleine McCann.
