unanswered questions
I was going to write a post beginning with a series of rhetorical questions.
For instance: is it too late for the government to realize that they’re almost certainly out of office come 2010? Is it too late for them to grasp this as an opportunity to forget about triangulation, pandering, initiatives and relaunches - and instead give us honest, intelligent and courageous government? Can they be really unaware that this is their last chance to give us something we want to remember rather than prefer to forget?
Then I realised that the answer to all these questions was ‘yes’, so I didn’t bother writing the post.

Once New Labour does realise they're going to be out of office in a few years, they're not going to suddenly become an intelligent, courageous government, but will instead attempt to fuck over the Tories as much as possible beforehand.

Unfortunately I think Cameron's government will probably be worse. Probably much worse. The wanker you know, or the Thatcherite wanker you don't. you've got to love democracy.

It is with some sadness that one realises that the Labour government is basically out of office. However things can change rapidly, and just as Cameron has risen in popularity, so Brown can too.
