So Jackie Chan says the Chinese “need to be controlled”: Perhaps he’s just a man of his place, position and time. An oriental orientalist? Or was it all just lost in translation?
Guess who’s reached China?

Eternal struggle to get pandas to have sex made even more difficult by Sichuan earthquake.
And finally, to commemorate the tenth edition of an English language China blog roundup, here are ten Chinese English language bloggers you should read.
I think the word Mr. Chan may have meant was guidance,or/help rather than control. They certainly recognize genuine talent.Sadly not all Americans appreciate it. I am not surprised that China loves Susan. I just listened to her again; joined her fan club and was scanning some comments. One woman really ripped on her calling her a naive little_****** that she,Susan was as ugly as shit, that the should know the networks were only using her. Inspite of the joy I had been feeling before that moment I cried all over again, but for a different reason. This woman had missed it!! She didn't feel a thing as Susan sang. She was so caught up in how Susan looked "E" completely missed the essence of the moment. The realization that we are all so much more then we appear. All of us. We all have a song to sing, a dream to reach for while we struggle through life. Susan was there for all of us, she was us! An election could not have given us a better representative. Susan was the one with the courage to face possible failure in front of millions of people because she had that dream.I am grateful she was singing for me. That is exactly how I would like to sound when sharing my dream, powerful! I hope Susan never reads that nasty e-mail.I hope her courage holds out strong and when she wins, because she will win!; That she doesn't let anyone change her. When she wins. We win.We will all win a triumph of spirit , hope, courage, and strength over shallow petty prejudice from the insecure "E"s of the world. I felt strong not to let the comment pass. I hope I was a good representative for all of you who feel the same as I do. This was my reply to "E"
Honey I am sorry you feel so threatened by Susan that you have to stoop to vulgarity (that means filthiness) in trying to bring her down to you. I hope you can find your own gift beyond your looks and that you feel worthy to share it with the world! You are using her now to bring yourself up. Nice try. You didn't cut it hon.
