From a conversation last night with an American veteran -
"So when Ford came out to inspect my unit, we were doing maneuvers in the Korean countryside. But a Korean farmer's cow got loose in a field which was being strafed by helicopters, and it was just torn apart. They paid him compensation, but then later that night I went out with some friends, and we somehow ended up at this farmer's place. He grew pot, and he was trying to sell us it, and we were drunk and generally getting fucked up on that and this low-grade weed. He had no legs, too, so he just clumped around on this wooden stumps. And then things took an ugly turn. He had this daughter, beautiful daughter, 14 or 15 years old, and two of the guys with me decided they wanted a piece of her. You know, uh, that they wanted to rape her. Luckily the two other guys with me were stronger than them, and we were able to stop them, but things got really ugly, really fast."
i dont know what to say. Its obviously a key point, if i explain why i think so it sounds a bit banal.
I dont know if thats why others havent commented , still I thought i wanted to comment because this kind of post is why I keep coming to your blog.
It reads as very real.
