My review of Yan Lianke's Lenin's Kisses is now up at the National. For some reason it has been credited to a chap called Steve Donoghue. Help yourself Steve, provided the right name's on the cheque.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the book, though it's one of those where it helps if you have some awareness of the general context.
