The "he" in the Guardian excerpt refers of course to Poroshenko. Whoever imagined that Choco King would get serious about a clean-up op when there is so much in his past and connections that might come out in the wash.

It's not generally the thing for victorious armies to return home and start revolutions. That's normally something that follows defeat (Russia 1917, Germany 1918).
But the Ukrainian government forces are a bit strange in that they're constructed on feudal grounds - a lot of them aren't Ukrainian army per se, but the fighting tails of various politicians and businessmen.
