Tim and Unity are unimpressed by criticism of bloggers by a couple of Independent columnists, and Tim wonders whether the Indy is getting some kind of campaign together.
I’m wondering whether the editor or execs at our most revenue starved national newspaper are considering whether its worth their while to pay large amounts of money to dull and unproductive columnists, when there are a lot of other younger, fresher opinion tarts out there displaying their juicy wares on a daily basis and available for much less money.
Yes, Mr Kelner, if you’re reading this: much less money.
I’m wondering alternatively if the columnists concerned are indeed concerned at this development, and so are getting in a pre-emptive strike.
What I’m not doing is making a big bloggy rule the world claim. Blogs are perfectly dispensable, so it’s natural that the Independent’s most dispensable columnists would be the ones to notice and to worry.
