Yessssss. With a few games to spare too. And after everyone wrote us off too. Next season?...Well we won’t have one of those second season slumps when the other teams adapt to whatever bag of tricks a promoted team bring with them. We didn’t have a bag of tricks in the first place. The media have gone from attributing Stoke victories to Delap’s throw ins to the atmosphere at the ground. In fact, we barged in to the Premiership last season and this season we just refused to be thrown out. Maybe next season we’ll act a little bit less like squatters and a bit more as though we have security of tenure.
Continuing my Stoke = Bolton Mk.2 hypothesis, I predict you will struggle fair bit until your exotic transfer policy starts to pay off and end up relegating West Ham and Leeds.
